Many of you know our complete love and adoration for our dog, Suzy. You may also know we wouldn't have her if it wasn't for the fabulous no-kill shelter, Pet Haven. In the past year and a half I have become enamored by these shelters that are so passionate about providing and saving these neglected pooches. The owners and volunteers of the shelters sacrifice their time, money and comfort to not only save their lives, but give them a whole new life with great homes.

Suzy's foster mom (and occasional babysitter), Laura, emailed us about one of the shelters' desperate need for help. She also blogged about her most recent experience at Red Lake Rosie's Rescue.
