Last weekend was a weekend of celebrations! Adam's mom, Wendy, came to visit for the grand wedding planning experience of cake tasting! The four of us (my mom, Adam, and Wendy, and myself) were able to taste some of the finest cakes with the fine price of more than two months rent. (roll of eyes). Needless to say we're going to look at other bakeries and oh, darn, we might have to taste some more wedding cake...

In addition to the sweet activity, we celebrated Wendy's 25th Birthday ;) We had dinner planned at a neat restaurant in downtown Minneapolis - the News Room. The various rooms are themed by journalistic sections: sports, entertainment, business, etc. To make this Birthday a celebration, Adam had called Stu and Judy, two of Wendy's good friends from Sartell, MN, to come down and surprise the Birthday girl! Just as we were settling, they walked in! Not only was Wendy surprised to see them, but it took her 3 minutes to realized they were actually there for HER! The evening will filled with nonstop laughs, fantastic food, and mudrakers...

On Sunday, Adam renewed his baptism. He had felt that he was being called to be baptized again, but this time being fully submerged as it states in the Bible. It's an indescribable feeling watching my future husband (!!) take action in his faith and open his heart to what God wants. To make such a declaration of trust and commitment in Him in front of the entire congregation is so powerful!
